Production is well underway for Marvel’s Studio’s upcoming ensemble film Thunderbolts, and some intriguing set photos have made their way online, offering a glimpse into the next MCU film after Deadpool and Wolverine.

Among the most noteworthy revelations from these images is the new look for Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost. While her costume retains a similar design, it now sports a darker color scheme, with black (or dark grey) replacing the previously white ensemble. Unfortunately, Ghost’s helmet has yet to be spotted on set.

The photos also confirm the involvement of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, reprising her role as s, and Geraldine Viswanathan, who is rumored to be playing her assistant. Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, last seen in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, was also present during filming.

Fans have long speculated about Valentina’s motivations and her potential connection to the powerful Sentry, adding an intriguing layer of mystery to the upcoming film.

In a previous interview, Hannah John-Kamen expressed her excitement about returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stating, “I was relieved. I was like, ‘Great, I can come back and figure out more about Ava and Ghost and how she’s going to work in a team.’”

David Harbour, who plays Red Guardian (though not yet spotted on the Thunderbolts set), shared his thoughts on the unique nature of the film, saying, “There’s a lot of really exciting work happening on this movie. I also think it’s a unique MCU movie in the sense that you’ve got a bunch of misfits and outcasts and losers and people who don’t really live up to the super in superhero.”

Harbour added, “And also all of us are such cool, interesting performers – I think audiences have some complicated feelings about a lot of us – and I think that’s a terrific thing going in.”

Marvel Studios Thunderbolts will be released on May 2, 2025.
