Marvel Studios has unleashed a trailer for Werewolf by Night in Color. Yes, this is the colorized version of last year’s Marvel Cinematic Universe horror special, and while this is the same film, but in color, it’s still a fun trailer that promises the movie will be “More Terrifying” and “More Gruesome.” Seeing all the blood in red definitely drives home how violent this movie actually was.

When previously talking about the color version of the film, director Michael Giacchino said that it pays homage to the Hammer horror films. He said: “We spent a lot of time working on this color version. We wanted to pay homage to the incredible vibrant color in horror films like the ones Hammer made.” You can definitely see that in the trailer that was released.

“On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader,” reads the special’s synopsis. “In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic–a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster.”

“Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread and the macabre, with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as we explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Disney+ will debut the color version of Werewolf by Night on Disney+ on October 20th. Enjoy the trailer!
