A Spider-Gwen cosplay has brought together an all-star spider-team centered completely around the Spider-Verse heroine. Ghost Spider has quickly become a fan-favorite and, as of late, has had the spotlight with Marvel Comics. With her recent multiversal adventures and a new solo series on the way with a big change, there is no better time to share appreciation for this spider heroine.
On Instagram,@biancabellacosplay and @emeraldcosplay shared a group photo centered on Spider-Gwen. It consists of five Ghost-Spiders, portrayed by @biancabellacosplay, @becky_cosplays, @emeraldcosplay, @krissi.q, and @theamazingspiderann. Each Gwen has a slightly different suit and ensemble, representing some of the different Gwen Stacys in Marvel’s multimedia.
There are Gwens in sneakers and ballet flats, as well as one with a vest Spider-Punk would be proud of. Some suits feature different wrist styles and one includes a pair of teal headphones matching Gwen’s signature shoe color.

Spider-Gwen Has Taken Over Marvel in the Best Way
Marvel recently revealed a new Spider-Gwen solo comic series that will begin releasing on May 22. Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider is set to provide a major paradigm shift, making the Earth-65 heroine a permanent resident of Earth-616 – Marvel’s main comic universe. The heroic alter of Gwen Stacy has also starred in several solo and spin-off series in recent years. These have included Spider-Gwen: Smash (2023), What If…? Dark: Spider-Gwen (2023), Spider-Gwen: Gwen-Verse(2022), and Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones (2023). Several of these series have introduced variants of the titular heroine that exist in Marvel’s multiverse.
With so many iterations of Gwen Stacy scattered throughout the multiverse, both hero and villain, having a group cosplay of Ghost Spiders becomes extra accurate. Though many Marvel characters have several variants, Gwen’s have been some of the most fun and creative takes on the character. From Thor and Wolverine to Rhino and Sandman, there are dozens of versions of a character that formerly only served as a tragic love interest for a more popular Marvel hero. Now, Gwen’s revival and overall resurgence has led to an impressive following, as well as expansive storytelling potential for Marvel Comics.
Gwen Stacy’s Return is One of Marvel’s Best Resurrections
This group cosplay shared by @biancabellacosplay and @emeraldcosplay scratches the surface of how many Gwen Stacys exist in Marvel’s multimedia multiverse. It focuses solely on the heroic version of the Spider-Verse character in her primary iteration as Ghost Spider/Spider Woman. This gathering is not only fun, but it highlights the beginning of the character’s biggest change. Gwen was previously a character that fans didn’t believe would return, similar to Bucky Barnes and Peter Parker’s Uncle Ben. Her impact on the Spider-Verse, paired with her incredible and distinct design has made Spider-Gwen a top cosplay choice for individuals and groups alike.
