Pedro Pascal is, without a doubt, one of the actors of the moment. After sweeping with The Last of Us and The Mandalorian, the Chilean actor wants to continue the winning streak in the movies. In addition to starring in the Mandalorian film, everything indicates that Pascal will play Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic.

Jeff Sneider, a Hollywood insider, indicates in his blog that the Chilean actor has set aside Weapons, a film by Zach Cregger, due to his busy schedule. Currently, Pascal is working on the second season of The Last of Us.

The Fantastic Four was scheduled to start filming in April, but the date would have been postponed to accommodate the actor’s needs. Sneider explains that now, filming should begin between the months of July and September. The truth is that this delay could also end up affecting the initial release date of the film, which was May 2025.

And the interest generated by this reboot has filled the internet with rumors and speculation about possible actors who would join the cast. Some of the names that have been repeated the most are Anya Taylor-Joy, Joseph Quinn, or even Cillian Murphy. It is worth remembering that, for now, we lack official confirmation from Marvel and we still do not know who will finally participate in the film.

The truth is that Marvel is not having its best moment in cinemas. The Marvels, their latest release, has achieved the dubious honor of becoming the biggest failure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s history. On the other hand, Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania also achieved another negative record: being the Marvel sequel that has raised the least amount of money.
