The Punisher joins Marvel Studios’ heavily-rumored Midnight Sons in a brilliant new fan-made poster hinting at the formation of the supernatural team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the wake of Avengers: Endgame and the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, Marvel Studios began to expand the MCU into several different narrative avenues. While the Infinity Saga led to the battle against Thanos, the Multiverse Saga has explored storylines featuring Kang the Conqueror and the New Avengers, the MCU’s street-level heroes, and more supernaturally-focused characters in the MCU, who have been speculated to be banding together as a powerful new team.

Since the dawn of the MCU’s Phase 4, Marvel Studios has introduced several characters who could assume positions on a live-action Midnight Sons team. More recently, this has included Jon Bernthal’s antihero Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher, who is set to debut in Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again series after appearing in Marvel Television’s Defenders Saga. The Punisher’s involvement with the Midnight Sons has now been depicted in an epic fan-made poster shared by Hazzaa Jarrar.

The poster brings together logos and symbols of potential Midnight Sons members, hinting at a powerful and exciting line-up for the supernatural MCU team.

Blade is joining the MCU in Phase 5, but as no one really works alone in this universe, here are the teams Blade could join at some point.

Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed the development of a Midnight Sons project, but several members of the formidable team have already been introduced to the MCU. Doctor Strange is perhaps the most well-established MCU character who may become a member of the Midnight Sons, as the team even used the Sanctum Sanctorum as their base of operations for some time in Marvel Comics. Blade is perhaps the most recognizable member of the Midnight Sons, so Mahershala Ali’s debut as Blade in Phase 6 could provide a clear mention of the team, similarly to how The Marvels hinted at the Young Avengers.

Ghost Rider, another legendary Midnight Sons member, has been rumored to be debuting in the MCU for quite some time. This speculation gained traction following the announcement of the Marvel Spotlight banner, which would be perfect for an MCU Ghost Rider project. Marc Spector’s Moon Knight, Jack Russell’s Werewolf By Night, Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing and even Wong could also take positions on the Midnight Sons team. Upcoming characters such as Ironheart’s Hood, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’ Jennifer Kale and X-Men member Wolverine have also been Midnight Sons members in Marvel Comics, so could assume roles on the team in the MCU.
