Marvel Studios has withdrawn trademarks for several projects first revealed before last year’s Comic-Con, but one raining title has fans convinced a future Avengers movie will be renamed. Check it out!

Shortly before last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, eagle-eyed fans unearthed a series of trademarks filed by Marvel Studios. Those appeared to spoil announcements planned for their Hall H panel, something confirmed when Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Avengers: Secret Wars, and even “Multiverse Saga” were all revealed at the show.

Other trademarked projects weren’t ultimately announced, including Celestials: End of Time, Shang-Chi and the Wreckage of Time, and The Black Knight: Origins. A few others, meanwhile, seemed to be alternate titles for those that were unveiled, including Captain America: Red White and Black and “Timeless Saga.”

Today, it’s been confirmed that Marvel Studios has decided to withdraw trademarks for the latter Saga title, “Eternity Saga,” Nomad, and Runaways: New Era

This may mean a lot or very little. However, particularly noteworthy is the fact Avengers: Eternity Wars is still trademarked. Could that replace Avengers: The Kang Dynasty if Jonathan Majors and Kang the Conqueror are dropped from the MCU?

It’s certainly possible, though we can’t imagine anything has been decided yet. Still, with Marvel Studios looking to get back to quality over quantity, we wouldn’t be surprised if a Nomad spin-off and the return of the Runaways are two of countless movies and TV shows which are no longer a priority.

Another compelling possibility is that Avengers: Eternity War is the sequel to Avengers: Secret Wars. While a third Avengers movie hasn’t been announced, rumours have been swirling for the better part of a year about Secret Wars becoming a two-parter before a line-wide relaunch of the MCU.

The fact we haven’t had an Avengers movie since 2019 has done little to help Marvel Studios recently, and while we’re still years away from Earth’s Mightiest Heroes assembling again, the anticipation should go a long way in guaranteeing the MCU delivers another mega-hit. It could do with one, that’s for sure, and the team might be exactly what’s needed to reignite interest in this franchise.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is currently scheduled for May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars set to follow on May 7, 2027. Given recent delays caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA stikes, those dates are likely to shift yet again.

Do you think we’ll eventually see Avengers: Eternity Wars in theaters?
