A much-watch movie that’ll help you have a better understanding of the complex character played by Hiddleston.

2. The Avengers

After unleashing the mighty Destroyer Automaton on Asgard, Loki leaves his homeland and arrives on Earth through a cosmic portal to retrieve the Tesseract. The movie gives us a glimpse of Loki’s complex character which is explored in subsequent Marvel movies and shows.

3. Thor: Ragnarok

The third film in the Thor franchise, Thor: Ragnarok sees Loki reuniting with his brother Thor to save their home (Asgard) from destruction at the hands of their sister Hela. While the latter succeeds in destroying the planet, Loki ends up escaping the destruction with the Tesseract. But he does help Thor rebuild Asgard on Earth, only before Thanos’ arrival.

4. Avengers: Infinity War

Loki played a brief but significant role in Avengers: Infinity War. In an attempt to save his brother, Thor, from Thanos, Loki agrees to give away the Tesseract. It was after Loki’s death in the 2018 movie that the makers announced a whole new series based on Loki’s character.

5. Avengers: Endgame

Picking up from where Avengers: Infinity War ended, Avengers: Endgame focuses on the Avengers who travel back in time to collect the Infinity Stones in order to reverse the damage done by Thanos. However, in the process, they present Loki from the past an opportunity to escape with the help of the Tesseract. Although Loki manages to flee from the timeline, he is eventually apprehended by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) agents.
