Marvel Comics has unveiled a first-look artwork preview of Wolverine #50. Benjamin Percy’s milestone final issue arrives next month on Wolverine’s 50th anniversary year.

Per Marvel, Wolverine #50 will be one of Logan’s most pivotal issues ever. The giant-size issue, which includes various bonus materials, is the final chapter of Percy, Victor LaValle, Geoff Shaw, and Cory Smith’s 10-part Sabretooth War storyline. The book will also feature a story by acclaimed Wolverine writer Larry Hama, co-starring the fan favorite character Jubilee, and a sneak peek at Wolverine’s upcoming adventures in the X-Men’s upcoming From the Ashes era. After ending the iconic character’s Krakoan Age adventures in the main story, Percy will collaborate with artist Javi Fernández in a send-off that celebrates Wolverine’s legacy.

Wolverine #50

Marvel’s Wolverine #50 description reads, “CREED VS. LOGAN – THE FINAL SHOWDOWN! It’s all come down to this: the final battle between Wolverine and Sabretooth. The Sabretooth War concludes in the way it began – a violent, bloody battle – but Who will be left standing?” Percy discussed ending his Fifty-issue run on Wolverine and expressed his gratitude to fans, “Fifty issues of Wolverine is a hell of a lot to be thankful for. But the math gets hairier when I do some accounting,” he said.

Percy continued, “I’ve been writing Logan, in the audio drama, in X-Force and Wolverine and all the crossovers and spin-off events, for seven years, twenty episodes, and a hundred thirty-ish issues. That’s a whole lot of SNIKT. That’s a big part of my life and career, and I feel nothing but gratitude for the experience. I can’t believe I’ve been lucky enough to serve as the custodian of a character who is so important to me. Thanks, bubs, for joining the mayhem.”
