Marvel has announced two new Spider-Man comic series aimed at younger readers arriving later this year. The new all-ages series will introduce Peter Parker and the rest of the Spider-Verse at a level perfect for new readers while still offering exciting adventures for every fan.

Spidey And His Amazing Friends will be based on the Disney Junior show of the same name, with the comic series also including bonus activity pages intended for the youngest of readers. The second series, Spider-Man: Homeroom Heroes, will be aimed at middle-grade readers and will contain two 10-page stories that show Peter Parker balancing life as Spider-Man with his high school responsibilities.

Releasing Aug. 7, Spidey and His Amazing Friends will see Spidey, Ghost-Spider and Spin team up with other heroic friends and take on a variety of villains including Green Goblin and Doc Ock. In addition to Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales will also make appearances throughout the new monthly comic series. On Sept. 4, Spider-Man: Homeroom Heroes begins, and Spider-Man will work hard to keep New York City safe from villains like Electro and Tombstone while juggling his high school life.

With its two new Spider-Man series, Marvel hopes to capture the hearts of new readers and draw them into the world of comics. The lovable Peter Parker and the ever-expanding Spider-Verse are well-suited for this, with Spider-Man’s adventures having often appealed to fans of all ages over the years.
