Marvel’s The Punisher is a brutal street-level anti-hero with an arsenal of weapons that make him a one-man army in more ways than one, with his recent MCU return in Daredevil: Born Again reminding fans why those who cross Frank Castle’s path don’t usually live to talk about it. Donning a more realistic version of his iconic skull-branded costume in the show, a new cosplay proves that Punisher’s next appearance in the MCU can give the character a true comic-accurate design.
A badass Punisher cosplay recently shared on social media via Instagram, Caleb (@calebweekss) is a creator who has made a name for himself wearing custom costumes that perfectly capture the look and spirit of the comic characters he brings to life with incredible detail and accuracy. Far from his first foray into the Marvel Universe, Caleb has dressed as Daredevil, Spider-Man, Captain America, and the X-Men’s Cyclops and Gambit before, with his cosplays of DC Comics characters, like Green Lantern, Robin, Nightwing, and The Flash, solidifying Caleb’s commitment to his craft as one of the best creators in the community.

Making his soft MCU debut in Netflix’s Daredevil show and then getting a two-season solo series right afterward, Jon Bernthal’s take on The Punisher was met with rave reviews from both critics and comics fans alike, ushering in his eventual MCU return and proving without a doubt that the character can work in the live-action space — something his previous onscreen incarnations couldn’t always claim. Dressed in a more military-esque version of his traditional black-and-white look, The Punisher received a trench-coated design at the end of Daredevil: Born Again’s first season, with Caleb’s cosplay giving the character yet another spot-on costume.

Jon Bernthal’s Punisher comes back to the MCU in Daredevil: Born Again, but his confirmed spinoff is what’s got me excited for a long Marvel future.
A live-action tribute that harkens back to some of The Punisher’s first appearances in Marvel Comics, Caleb’s contrasty black and white design goes hard as one of the best takes on the character the cosplay community has seen yet, with Caleb’s bone-white Punisher logo, long gloves, pouch-abundant utility belt, multiple gun holsters, leg straps, and boots playing well against his pitch-black bodysuit. Adding some extra pieces of light armor to finish off this comic-accurate look in style, Caleb gives his best Frank Castle impression, turning his portrayal of The Punisher into a cosplay worthy of the character’s next MCU appearance.

With Frank Castle making his bloody return to the MCU thanks to his involvement in Daredevil: Born Again, fans can get excited about even more live-action projects involving Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, with the character already confirmed for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again as well as Punisher’s much-anticipated big screen debut in 2026’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day alongside Tom Holland. It might be a while before fans get a look at what The Punisher will look like in that film, but with what Caleb (@calebweekss) manages to create here, only a comic-accurate design like this one will suffice.
