Marvel Studios announced that it’s skipping its blockbuster showcase at Comic-Con’s Hall H this year, and will instead have a smaller presence at the event. Almost every year, Marvel Studios makes a big splash during Comic-Con’s Hall H presentations, sharing major news and exclusive first-looks of upcoming movies and shows. Last year, for example, Marvel surprised everyone when it announced that Robert Downey Jr. was returning as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. However, with Doomsday being delayed from May 2026 to December 2026, the studio decided to hold off on its big Hall H showcase until next year.

A new expose claims Cliffhanger employees were shocked to learn of EA’s decision to cancel their Black Panther game for several reasons.
Despite having a smaller presence in Comic-Con’s Hall H this year, Marvel fans still have a lot to look forward to during the event. As mentioned, the studio is still planning panels for its comics and games, which might include early gameplay footage for the highly-anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games and the standalone Iron Man game from EA. Marvel Rivals could also have its own segment, where it could possibly reveal new playable heroes and other cool content coming to the game. Plus, there will be an immersive Fantastic Four: First Steps booth at Comic-Con, and many fans believe that the cast might fly in as well, because they’ll be at CCXP Mexico on the same weekend.
Apart from the possible teasers and cast appearances, Marvel could also have other surprises prepared for the fans. It might not have any major news about Avengers: Doomsday yet, but it could take this chance to share that it’s working on new movies, shows, and/or games based on popular and even obscure Marvel IPs. The possibility is not that farfetched considering that Marvel is building up Phase 5 and potentially Phase 6 until next year at least.
Although Marvel Studios is reportedly slowing down its rollout of new content, the anticipation of upcoming projects is undeniable, especially since factions like The Fantastic Four and the X-Men will officially be part of the MCU soon. This could eventually trickle down to other content, such as video games, where characters could either have their own standalone titles or become part of a party-based title similar to Marvel’s Avengers and Midnight Suns.
