Marvel continues to reveal more titles as part of its “From the Ashes” relaunch of the X-Men titles post-Krakoa, and this time around, besides teasing new ongoing series for Storm and Dazzler, the company is also teasing the fact that a major member of the X-Men will be joining the ranks of the Avengers in the very near future.

The short teases follow the pattern that Marvel has established since it first started revealing details about “From the Ashes” back in March, which is that there will be a couple of teases early in the week, and then throughout the week it will reveal more details about the new titles, including the creative teams on the titles, like last week, when Wolverine and X-Factor were teased, and then details on both titles were revealed as the week continued.

Which solo X-Men are receiving their own series?

After the reveal of Phoenix the other week, the first new series announcements for X-Men characters (outside of Wolverine, who we all knew would be getting another solo series, of course) are Dazzler and Storm.

Storm has been rumored to be receiving a new series for some time (she was one of the X-Men who was specifically teased in this year’s Women of Marvel one-shot in a story showing a glimpse of the future, along with Uncanny X-Men and Exceptional X-Men), but there had been no rumors about Dazzler receiving a new series, so that’s a big surprise.

Dazzler, of course, was one of the first mutants to have their own solo series, as she launched her own series in the 1980s, years before she even JOINED the X-Men. This new teaser suggests that Dazzler will once again be touring as a singer.

The aforementioned glimpse into the future seemed to suggest that Storm was possibly serving as some sort of politician, perhaps running for office, and that would tie in well with the promotional description on the teaser for her series, noting that mutants no longer have a homeland in the wake of Krakoa, but they still have a queen!

As sharp as a tagline as that is, it is obviously still very much a teaser, so we’ll learn more this week about what that means, exactly.

X-Men: Wolverine Embraces His Animal Side in All-New Marvel Series

In the latest new title in the X-Men’s From the Ashes relaunch, Wolverine’s new series sees him embrace his animal side

Which X-Men will be joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the Avengers?

One of the more surprising teasers this week was the involvement of a series that is very much NOT an X-Men title, as there is the reveal that a major X-Men superhero will be joining the Avengers…

Avengers writer Jed MacKay, of course, is the writer of X-Men, one of the flagship titles in the “From the Ashes” relaunch, so he obviosuly would be able to coordinate things well with himself. Some of the major X-Men not yet clearly on a team include Iceman, Polaris, Colossus, and Cable, so perhaps one of those heroes will be the newest Avenger.

The Avengers have a long history of having X-Men on the team, going back to Beast joining the team in the 1970s.
