NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Saturday, the Negaunee Public Library will be welcoming a long-time Marvel Comics artist for a free demonstration.

Jerry DeCaire has been drawing with Marvel Entertainment since the 1991, illustrating for characters such as Wolverine, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Deadpool, and numerous X-Men volumes.

From 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Negaunee Senior Citizens Center, DeCaire will be performing a live drawing presentation, free for all ages. The Central Michigan University graduate from Saginaw often enjoys making trips to the U.P., sharing his passions along the way.

“Jerry comes up to go camping in the U.P. every summer and does just a couple of libraries up here,” said Jessica Holman, the director at the Negaunee Public Library. “So, we are very thankful to be one of the two that he selected this year.”

DeCaire will present at the West Iron District Library in Iron River on Friday, before heading north to Negaunee.
