Since this team’s only requirement is to fight the good fight, the Avengers have housed all types of superpowered individuals, some of whom truly stand out thanks to their power set.

From Storm to Hulk to Scarlet Witch, some of the most prominent Avengers members are so thanks to the fact that they’re incredibly powerful. Their strength on the battlefield basically has no comparison, so they’re the best allies the other Avengers can ask for. These are the strongest Avengers ever.

Storm Is A Vessel For Cosmic Power

Storm’s name is mostly related to the X-Men. However, the mutant is an official Avenger too, following Captain America’s invitation during Jed MacKay’s most recent run on the team. Considering her sheer power, it isn’t a surprise that the Super Soldier noticed she was an amazing asset for the team.

As an omega-level Mutant, Storm has incredible weather manipulation skills. She controls Earth through psionic powers, modifying the temperature in seconds, altering the electromagnetic fields, and even inciting dangerous tornadoes and hurricanes with so much as a hand movement. These abilities are only a reflection of her state as an Avatar of Life. Ororo is a powerful warrior, but she’s almost a cosmic being, having proven that she can host Eternity on her body. During her recent solo run, she was able to kill the Sorcerer Supreme thanks to this connection.

Sersi Is Widely Underestimated

Given that the MCU’s version of Sersi is quite tamed, many Marvel fans don’t know that her comics counterpart ranks among Marvel’s most powerful heroes. Not only is she way more extroverted than on the big screen, but her abilities are definitely amped up.

As an Eternal, Sersi possesses a quick healing factor, a marvelous telepathic sense, and, most importantly, she can transform matter in seconds. On the physical area, Sersi can lift up to 20 tons using only her superhuman strength, but using her levitation and telekinetic powers allows her to lift even more.

Blue Marvel Controls Antimatter

A brilliant scientist working on antimatter, Dr. Adam Brashear was caught in a powerful explosion that granted him the ability to absorb antimatter. This type of energy fuels his abilities: superhuman strength, nigh-invulnerability, and energy manipulation to use antimatter at his will (for example, for concussive blasts), even allowing him to fly.

Right now, she’s one of the most prominent Avengers, having led the team at times.

Carol’s leadership abilities make her an amazing heroine, but this combines with her incredible powers: flight, enhanced strength, speed, and senses, energy absorption and manipulation, and even a precognitive sense that allows her to avoid danger. Although he was created to destroy Earth by Ultron, Vision betrayed his creator and joined the good fight. It’s been almost 60 years since he became a member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, but he’s still one of the most loyal members of the Avengers… and he’s also incredibly powerful among his peers.

As a synthezoid, Vision possesses an interesting physiology. His body mimics a human body up to the cells, but he’s way stronger, smarter, and more resilient than a simple man. For starters, he’s a technopath made out of nanobots with enhanced senses. He can fly, make himself intangible, and even blast beams of microwave radiation. Additionally, he can increase or decrease his density, which allows him to lift up to 50 tons. From his mind to his muscles, he has one of the most complete power sets among the Avengers.

Hyperion Is Marvel’s Superman

Hailing from Earth-13034, the Eternal known as Marcus Milton aka Hyperion arrived on Earth-616 after an incursion destroyed his reality. Here, he became an Avenger for many years — including the Multiversal Avengers, a team formed to stop incursions and avoid other realities’ collapsing like his did.

Hyperion’s adventures in the Marvel universe are never at street level. This Eternal is super strong, super fast, and has an incredible healing factor. Besides, he has atomic vision as well as enhanced senses. If this wasn’t enough, Hyperion is incredibly smart in a way no human could be: his memory is so good, the past might as well be a reality for him as he goes through his memories. All these traits have earned him the Marvel’s Superman nickname among some members of the fandom.

In his human form, Bruce Banner is a mild-mannered, intelligent scientist. This is until the Hulk takes over. This giant, green monster is full of rage – in fact, Banner’s rage triggers the transformation. The Hulk actually channels this fury to become one of the strongest Marvel heroes ever. He’s pure muscle, no other ability needed to smash.

Additionally, Thor Odinson possesses superhuman speed, a godly stamina, a powerful healing factor, and certain telepathic skills.

What’s more, following War of the Realms, Thor is now All-Father. This means he inherited Odin-Force, now known as Thorforce. If this wasn’t enough, Thor wields Mjolnir, an enchanted hammer made of Uru that contains a goddess inside. One of the best sorcerers in Marvel, Wanda Maximoff is the Scarlet Witch. Originally thought to be a mutant, she was a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood. The mutant leader was thought to be his father. With time, Wanda became less inclined to villainy and abandoned the Brotherhood. She was never an X-Men, but she became an Avenger eventually and has belonged to a couple of great rosters of this team.

This sorceress is connected to chaos magic by birth, so she can tap into forces no one else can. Besides, she’s a nexus being, which means she can harness all her reality energy to access its Life Force. Both of these connections — to chaos magic and Life Force — allow Wanda to alter reality through her witchcraft literally. One of her worst moments takes place during House of M, when she erases the mutant gene for good on Earth-616, stripping hundreds of their abilities and killing some of them in the process.

When Robert Reynolds, a meth addict, stumbled upon Canada’s Department K looking for a fix, he ended up consuming the Golden Sentry Serum. This substance, an attempt to make Super Soldier Serum even better than it was before, turned Reynolds into Sentry, the single-most powerful Avenger ever. Thanks to the serum, Sentry was physically enhanced. He’s super strong, super fast, and super agile. But this is only the beginning.

Sentry’s healing factor goes beyond anything ever seen. He’s basically an immortal being, since he simply returns from death and doesn’t age. He can fly on his own, going above Mach 10, and he can absorb and manipulate energy, even bestowing his abilities on others. Sentry can also alter his own molecules, saving himself from characters like Molecule Man, who can transform him into anything. All these abilities make him the most powerful Avenger ever since not even Wanda can alter him. The worst part is, these are only his abilities as Sentry, when it comes to the Void — his dark alter ego — things are even worse. Overall, the Avengers should count their blessing for having Sentry on their side.
