H.E.R.B.I.E. Maintains The Baxter Building For The Fantastic Four

H.E.R.B.I.E. is a robot designed by Reed Richards to assist the Fantastic Four around the Baxter Building. While the little robot can serve as a housekeeper, taking care of Reed and Sue’s children, he’s also a lot like Star Wars‘ R2-D2, capable of holding his own on missions.

In the comics, H.E.R.B.I.E. once went rogue and attacked the Fantastic Four after his internal system was compromised. Though the Fantastic Four ultimately destroyed him, H.E.R.B.I.E. surprisingly held his own against Marvel’s First Family. Fans unfamiliar with H.E.R.B.I.E. should watch out for his first big-screen appearance in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Crystal Is An Airbending Inhuman

Crystal is a member of the royal Inhuman race, though she spends a lot of her time with the Fantastic Four, especially when she was in a relationship with Johnny Storm. Crystal is a longtime ally of the Fantastic Four, often acting as a bridge between humans and the Inhumans.

In the comics, Crystal even temporarily took Sue Storm’s place in the Fantastic Four while the Invisible Woman was pregnant. Crystal’s Inhuman biology and her ability to manipulate elements as well as any Avatar from The Last Airbender make her one of the FF’s strongest allies and teammates.

Namor is the King of Atlantis in the Marvel Universe, and he’s crossed paths with many Marvel heroes, though he’s not always a friendly face. In fact, Namor, due to his aggressive attitude towards people on the surface, is often an antagonist, and has certainly rubbed the Fantastic Four the wrong way dozens of times.

Conflict between Namor and the Fantastic Four often spawns from his infatuation with the Invisible Woman, regardless of her relationship with Mister Fantastic. However, when Namor is on their side, he’s a powerful ally with all of Atlantis’ armies at his command.

Spider-Man & The Human Torch Are Best Friends

In the very first issue of Amazing Spider-Man, the Wall-Crawler visited the Fantastic Four and even started a fight with them. Over the years, the Fantastic Four have been there to bail Spider-Man out. Spidey and the Human Torch have developed a long-lasting friendship, and Reed Richards even helped Spider-Man remove and study the symbiote.

When the Baxter Building went up for sale, Peter Parker bought it as CEO of Parker Industries to preserve it for the Fantastic Four’s eventual return. Spider-Man also signed up for the Future Foundation, the ultimate melding of superheroes and science. Spidey is like an honorary fifth member of the team, always having each other’s backs.

Black Panther Tested The Might Of The Fantastic Four

As the Black Panther, T’Challa is one of Marvel’s greatest heroes, fighting alongside the Avengers and even outfitting the world with advanced Wakandan tech to fend off alien invasions. It’s appropriate that Black Panther is one of the Fantastic Four’s strongest allies, considering he debuted in their comic book.

When selecting a group of superpowered beings to test his own abilities, Black Panther didn’t choose the X-Men or the Avengers. He chose the Fantastic Four. The heroes worked together to protect Wakanda and defeat Klaw. Whenever Wakanda is in danger, the Fantastic Four are often the first heroes Black Panther calls.

The Inhumans & The Fantastic Four Are Often Like Two Warring Kingdoms

The Inhumans are a race of humans who were exposed to the Terrigen Mist, which gave them unique powers. They first appeared in Fantastic Four comics, and many of those early appearances featured team-ups with the FF team as well as developments surrounding the politics and status of the Inhuman race.

The Inhumans are incredibly powerful. MCU fans have already seen the destructive power of Black Bolt’s voice, and there are hundreds more. The Inhumans have even battled the X-Men and Avengers in Marvel Comics. The Inhumans usually ally with the FF, as Reed Richards worked to build relations between the Inhumans and Earth.

She-Hulk Replaced The Thing In The Fantastic Four

At this point, She-Hulk is an honorary fifth member of the Fantastic Four. Along with her memberships with teams like the Avengers, A-Force and the Defenders, She-Hulk has also replaced the Thing in the Fantastic Four after the events of Secret Wars and served on FF-affiliated teams such as the Fantastic Force and the Future Foundation.

For a while in the 1980s, She-Hulk was an official member of the Fantastic Four, their new muscle replacing the Thing. She-Hulk is, at times, just as powerful as Bruce Banner’s Hulk, so recruiting her was a huge win for the team. Many fans are hoping she has many interactions with the MCU Fantastic Four in Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Uatu The Watcher Warns The Fantastic Four Of Cosmic Threats

Uatu the Watcher is an extremely powerful being in Marvel’s multiverse. Those who watched Marvel’s What If…? animated series definitely know who Uatu is. His role is in his name: The Watcher. Uatu, like many of the Watchers, swore an oath to simply observe the universe and refrain from intervening.

The Fantastic Four first discovered Uatu watching them, then Uatu broke his vows to warn Earth of the coming Galactus. Uatu has since often appeared to warn Earth of impending doom, usually contacting Mister Fantastic first, making him the ultimate cosmic early-detection system.

Doctor Doom is not only the Fantastic Four’s greatest villain, but he may be the best villain in all of Marvel Comics, fighting just about every Marvel hero at one point or another… even Squirrel Girl. Doctor Doom currently controls the world in the One World Under Doom event, and he’s taken over the universe several times as well.

Including Doctor Doom on a list of the Fantastic Four’s allies might seem strange, but what’s even stranger is the fact that Doom has fought alongside the Fantastic Four multiple times. When battling greater foes, such as Onslaught, Doom has begrudgingly joined the Avengers and X-Men. Valeria, Reed and Sue’s daughter, even invited Doom to join the Future Foundation.

Silver Surfer Betrayed Galactus For The Fantastic Four

There is no stronger Fantastic Four ally than the Silver Surfer. Norrin Radd first appeared in Marvel Comics alongside Galactus. The Silver Surfer only has the Power Cosmic thanks to his role as the Herald of Galactus, but when he came to Earth, he betrayed his master and warned the Fantastic Four.

Over the years, the Silver Surfer and the Fantastic Four have been like peanut butter and jelly, each aiding the other with their problems. The FF helped Silver Surfer escape Earth, while the Surfer helped the Fantastic Four defeat several of Galactus’s other heralds.
