For 17 years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced hundreds of different characters from the comics that fans adore. However, this cinematic universe has so many characters that some of them have never met — and some never will. This is a shame, since some of these pairs would become incredible duos.

Whether it is because they share a long history in the comics or because fans think they would hit it off, some MCU pairings would make the fandom very happy. Mixes like Daredevil and Spider-Man or Punisher and Rocket Raccoon would bring a fresh take to the MCU, and fans would love to see them.

Mister Fantastic & Iron Man Could Still Have a Multiversal Team Up

Tony Stark and Reed Richards are both among the most intelligent superheroes ever. They’re both talented inventors, experts in different fields, and they both have led their teams to victory countless times. Tony and Reed have worked together a lot of times, particularly as members of the Illuminati. However, if this happens in the MCU, it will be in strange ways.

However, now that the Russo Brothers revealed that RDJ’s Doom will actually be connected to Iron Man in more than just looks, there’s still some hope. If the MCU’s Doctor Doom is a Tony Stark variant, Reed and Doom could work together during Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. Since everyone wants to see Doom be a character on his own, this may not be the best outcome, but still, seeing these two use their brains to save the universe would be epic.

Fans Want Hulk & The Thing Either Fight Or Team Up

Bruce Banner and Ben Grimm have some stuff in common. Although the former can return to his human form and the other one can’t, they both understand how difficult it is to look like a colossal monster while being a normal man on the inside. No one else around them understands their struggle, so it makes sense that they have a nice friendship.

Marvel Can Fix MCU Hulk By Adapting His Most Overlooked Story

The Hulk’s recent use in the MCU hasn’t been beloved, but adapting a major story arc from the Peter David Hulk run could perfectly change his future.

Now that Ebon Moss-Bachrach is set to portray The Thing in the MCU, fans want to see more of this friendship. Maybe have them bond over their disgrace before going after some criminals. Of course, since they’re both super brawny behemoths, many viewers wouldn’t mind seeing them fight each other instead. It would be an action-packed fight even if it’s only a friendly sparring session.

Ant-Man & Star-Lord Could Have a Hilarious Friendship

Chris Pratt and Paul Rudd are amazing comedians with impeccable timing. It stands to reason that Star-Lord and Ant-Man are just as funny as they are. These two are among the funniest MCU characters ever, and yet, they haven’t met each other. Fortunately for the fans, they’re both set to return to the MCU.

Ant-Man will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, while Star-Lord is simply set to return according to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. This means they could finally interact with each other in Avengers: Secret Wars. If this happens, it will surely be one of the funniest moments in the MCU until now, surely full of improvised jokes by Rudd and Pratt.

She-Hulk Could Help Trish Walker Redeem Herself

Jennifer Walters and Trish Walker have one of the most wholesome friendships in Marvel Comics. They have teamed up to help each other against some villains. Besides, Trish has worked for Jennifer at times, and they even have a weekly tradition: Eat Cake in Fancy Dresses Wednesday.

Fans would love to see their adorable friendship in the MCU soon, but it may take a while. The last time they saw Trish, she was at the Raft after reaching rock bottom, becoming addicted to enhancing drugs and even killing Jessica Jones’ mom. This is the perfect setup for Jennifer Walters, attorney at law, to offer her services and maybe strike a new friendship.

Hulk & Wolverine are Aa Classic Duo

Some duos in Marvel are simply a matter of tradition. The Wolverine/Hulk dynamic is one of them. These two heroes are so interconnected that Wolverine debuted on a Hulk comic! However, they aren’t exactly known for being friends. Instead, there’s a latent hostility between them every time they share a panel.

Elevating the X-Men franchise to whole new heights, Wolverine’s first ever solo series is a timeless classic that any Marvel reader should check out.

Maybe it’s the fact that they’re both full of rage, or maybe simply they’re personalities aren’t a match, but Wolverine and Hulk have a hard time working together. Still, when they do it, they’re incredibly efficient. With Hugh Jackman’s debut in the MCU during Deadpool & Wolverine, now fans want to see these two heroes go against a common enemy on the big screen soon.

Rocket Raccoon & The Punisher Would Either Love Or Hate Each Other

Rocket Raccoon and the Punisher belong to different sides of the MCU. While the former still has some fun moments, the latter is as grim as superheroes come. However, they share a lot too. For example, a tragic past in which they lost their loved ones, and an uncontrollable rage that is basically the main consequence of their sad story. Additionally, they both have a great arsenal.

Rocket would love to check some of Frank’s weapons, while Punisher would choose not to try and understand the fact that he’s talking with a raccoon. However, if the situation is right, they would eventually find themselves respecting each other’s craft during a team-up. That, or they would hate each other forever since they’re both incredibly stubborn.

Daredevil & Spider-Man Have a Common Enemy Now

Both Spider-Man and Daredevil are beloved, street-level heroes. Although they’re very different in personality, they actually get along great and have amazing team-ups in the comics. Now, fans want to see this in the MCU too — especially since Matt helped Peter with the murder charges from Spider-Man: Far from Home.

After the end of Daredevil: Born Again, both Matt and Peter have a big target on their backs. Kingpin knows about Spidey’s existence, and he’s already actively working to ruin Daredevil’s life. Since they’re both outlaws in New York now, these two could join forces to bring peace back to New York, regain the general public’s respect, and end Kingpin’s reign.

Jennifer Walters and Wade Wilson have very little in common. One is a lawful lawyer, the other is a bloody mercenary. However, they also have something in common: they share the wacky ability to break the fourth wall, both in the comics and on the screen. In fact, they’re the only two characters in the MCU who have ever talked to the audience.

15 Times Marvel Characters Broke The Fourth Wall

Deadpool might be the most well-known Marvel character who is aware that he’s a Marvel character, but he’s far from the only one.

Fans want to see She-Hulk and Deadpool meet only for the fun value. The moment when they both realize the other can also speak to the audience – or even to a different audience – would be hilarious if they play it right. Both Ryan Reynolds and Tatiana Maslany have what it takes for those meta jokes to land just right.

Yelena & Kate Bishop Already Showed Their Incredible Chemistry

Yelena and Kate are the new generation Black Widow and Hawkeye. Since Natasha and Clint had such a beloved dynamic, fans are hoping that the new heroines have it too. Their team-up was already teased in Hawkeye, which showcased the incredible chemistry between Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh, but this happened four years ago.

With Yelena as a member of the New Avengers and Kate planning to found the Young Avengers alongside Kamala, these two are bound to see each other again. While the bickering between them will be delightful no matter what, fans also want to see them use their abilities against a common threat. Hopefully, they will take some time off from their respective super teams to take on a mission together.
